Culturally Relevent \ Trauma Informed \ Strength Based

Training & Education

I offer workshops and trainings on a variety of topics including  Trauma-Informed Care, Crisis Assessment and Intervention, Medi-Cal Documentation Practices, Safety In The Community, Evidenced Based Practices in Treatment, Culturally Humility in the Workplace and more.  Additionally, I work with agencies on implementing quality initiatives, develop clinical operational processes, and train staff on documentation practices that meet state and local guidelines.
Clinical Supervision

MFT & ASW Interns

I am registered as a Certified Clinical Supervisor with the Board of Behavioral Sciences. I hold several years of experience providing clinical supervision to Marriage and Family Therapy Interns, Associate Social Workers, and Trainees. Many of the supervisees that I work with are placed in community based mental health settings working with clients with a variety of clinical presentations including complex trauma, incarceration, PTSD,  and mood disorders. I use a reflective approach to supervision and offer education in the form of reading materials and videos  to enhance the learning process. Feedback and evaluation is integrated into the supervision process.

Individual, Couples, Teens

I have advanced training in working with Depression and Anxiety using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Mindfulness Practice. I use Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy  in my work with couples, which is derived from the adult attachment work of Sue Johnson. My speciality includes working with teens and young adults who may be challenged with self-esteem issues, difficulty navigating familial relationships, challenges at school, exploration of their sexual orientation or gender identity expression, and much more.  In working with young people, I use elements of art therapy, hip-hop therapy, movement therapy, and drama therapy. All of my work includes linkage to community resources and practice of learned skills in everyday life so that the progress that happens inside the therapy room translates to outside life. My therapuetic framework is centered around culturally relevant, strength-based care so that everyone is respected for the values and experiences they hold.

Individual Psychotherapy: $145 per 50 minute session
                                                      $215 per 80 minute session

Clinical Supervision: $75 per 60 minute clinical supervision session

Please contact me to discuss training & consultation needs.

I accept payment in cash, check, credit card and HSA cards at the time of your session. I  am not on any insurance provider lists.  Often, PPO insurance plans will cover some amount of out of network psychotherapy.  If your insurance  company covers your use of an out-of-network provider for mental health services, I can provide you with an invoice listing the dates and fees of your    sessions. In this case you pay me in full at the time of each session, and you submit the bill for your reimbursement to the insurance company.

There are advantages of paying directly for therapy services, rather than through your insurance:
  • There is no compromise of your confidentiality by the sharing of information with your insurance company.
  • Your insurance records do not include information of your receiving mental health services.
  • There is no need for me to label you with a diagnosis to justify to your insurer that you are in need of services.
  • All decisions about the focus, frequency and duration of therapy are made by you and me, not by the insurance company.

I have a limited number of sliding scale slots in which the fee is worked out individually relative to monthly income.
